Adrian Grant
Producer
Adrian Grant is a producer and creative entrepreneur specialising in the origination, development, and scaling of live entertainment and cultural IP across theatre, music, film, and publishing. Over a 30-year career, he has built and delivered projects that combine strong creative vision with long-term commercial reach.

A defining chapter of Adrian’s career was his 20-year creative and professional relationship with Michael Jackson, which culminated in the creation of Thriller Live. The production has been seen by more than five million people worldwide and remains one of the most successful music-led shows in West End history, ranking among the top-grossing musicals ever to play at the Lyric Theatre.

Adrian’s theatre producing credits also include the West End production Respect La Diva and the UK tour of The Aretha Franklin Songbook, continuing his focus on culturally significant, music-driven storytelling with broad audience appeal.
Before establishing himself in theatre, Adrian was a leading figure in British publishing and youth culture. He founded and published the national magazines Shades and Blink, with Shades recognised as the UK’s first youth culture and lifestyle publication dedicated to diversity and the representation of marginalised voices. In recognition of his contribution to culture and representation, Adrian received the Image Award at the Black British Business Awards in 2017, honouring his lasting impact on the visibility and standing of people of African and Caribbean heritage in Britain.

In 2019, Adrian founded the Visionary Arts Foundation, an organisation dedicated to empowering young creatives to drive social change through artistic platforms including theatre, film, music, literature, and digital media. Alongside the Foundation’s outreach and mentoring work, he produces the annual Visionary Arts Awards, celebrating excellence and leadership across culture, media, and entertainment.

In 2020, Adrian was named Best Producer at the Black British Theatre Awards for Thriller Live, which also received the award for Best Musical Production.

Adrian is currently producing two major new works: A Story of Hope, a stage play charting the groundbreaking career of Hope Powell, England’s first female national team manager; and I’m Every Woman - The Chaka Khan Musical, celebrating the life and music of Chaka Khan, which will have its world premiere in March 2026 at the Peacock Theatre, London.
